Education Intervention

With all the challenges that came with the Covid 19 pandemic, learners at school were some of the hardest hit when it came to quality education. Classes were cancelled and learners were at home for months at a time without any formal education taking place. Schools in the rural areas do not have the online capabilities that some of the city schools have, so there learners were affected the most.

The trust launched an Education intervention plan and 6 full time tutors were employed to assist learners at schools on a rotation basis with specifically mathematics, physical science and accounting. The project had a huge impact on the final examination marks for these learners as they were able to receive additional attention where teachers may not have been able to help due to their workload.

Schools involved in the program all reported significant increases in marks from the learners involved.
