After many strategic meetings and discussions, the TCAT finally launched its flagship project of manufacturing Wonderbags. This took place on 24 April 2012 at factory number 40 Orange Street in Botshabelo. Present were different stakeholders from Business sector, Goverment sector, Free State Development Corporation (FDC), Media as well as the memebers of the Co-operatives who are manufacturing these bags.
The Chairperson of the Trust, Me Yasheen Sookdeo addressed the audience and explained that this project is currently employing about 80 people and this number is going to increase as the Thaba Nchu wonderbag project starts. A demonstration of how the Wonderbag works was given and each attendee left with a free gift of a Wonderbag. This is indeed a bag of wonders, considering the fact that it will improve people’s lives through saving electricity and time, preventing air pollution and most importantly, creating jobs! TCAT acknowledges the support of all the stakeholders involved in this wonderful initiative.
