The 09 June 2012 marked the first wonderbag distribution done by TCAT. It was a very cold day when the Wonderbag team went out with excitement to go and distribute the first wonderbags to the community in the West section in Botshabelo. The communities were first notified through the distribution of leaflets on 06 June as well as radio announcements with the support of the Local Radio Station. On 09 June 2012 people came in numbers to Marothodi Day Care Center from 10:00 in the morning until 14:00 to receive their bags while they were also given a demonstration of how they worked.
The support of Rob Bentley from Edge Activations, the distribution team from Botshabelo as well Marothodi Day Care Center, was highly appreciated by TCAT. The target to be issued was 1000 but about 461 bags were distributed on this day mainly due to a very cold whether. These distributions will be taking place on a weekly basis untill all areas of Botshabelo and Thaba Nchu are covered.
